1st XIII To Take On Silverbacks

The draw for the North East Cup took place and the video can be found on the NERL Twitter page.

As an exciting addition to this year's competition, two teams from Scotland have entered the draw.

With the commitment to play the first round at home, Edinburgh Eagles and Strathmore Silverbacks will both be unknown quantities for the North East sides.

The Rockets will be the first opponents for the Silverbacks, who are based in Forfar, Angus, which is north of Dundee.

The victors of that match will go through to face reigning NE league champions, Wallsend Eagles in Round 2.
