Magic Weekend is returning to Newcastle and St James’ Park on 19th and 20th May and Cramlington Rockets will be there as always! Here we give five reasons why you should be there too.

1. 7 amazing matches
A unique event in global sport, Magic Weekend offers up some mouth-watering top flight clashes including a rerun on the 2017 Grand Final, Leeds Rhinos vs Castleford Tigers, and Sunday’s Hull derby. As a new addition this year, Saturday’s opening game will be the Championship clash between Toulouse and Toronto Wolfpack, the Canadian team that has been the talk of global rugby year since launching last year.

2. Fantastic value
With discounted tickets available through Cramlington Rockets, prices start at only £12 for a day or £17 for the whole weekend. In the East Stand, the most popular area for Rockets in previous years, weekend tickets work out at only £3 a match for kids and £6 a match for adults!

3. Free tickets
Tickets bought through Cramlington Rockets include a free ticket to the Friday Night curtain raiser between Newcastle Thunder and Bradford Bulls. With the former world champions a big draw, a record crowd of over 4,000 is expected at Kingston Park.

4. Fan Zone
Everyone loves a fan zone. With food, drink, music, freebies, games, displays, shows and more, the 70,000 fans that are expected to attend will love mixing together right in the zone right outside the stadium.

5. Party atmosphere
With fancy dress encouraged and love bands playing in the stadium bowl between matches, there is no atmosphere quite like it as the fans of all 14 teams, plus plenty of other rugby league fans, all cram into what is expected to be the biggest year yet.
