Following on from a successful Coach Development Programme in 2016, Newcastle Thunder are pleased to announce that the programme will continue in 2017.

Over 20 coaches from across the region’s community clubs made a conscious effort to learn and share ideas with other coaches this year, with workshops focussing on exploring various aspects of the game.

Following on from and expanding work done as part of the Embed the Pathway CPD, the programme explores various technical, technical and mental aspects of rugby league as well as more general areas of coaching such as feedback, games based practice and building rapport.

The dates for the 2017 Coach Development Programme are as follows:

Monday 6th February – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
Monday 3rd March – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
Monday 3rd April – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
Monday 8th May – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
Monday 12th June – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
Monday 3rd July – 18:30-20:30 – Kingston Park
