First session of the club’s exciting new venture.

Saturday morning will see a group of excited youngsters descend on Cramlington for the first ever Rocket Tots session.

It marks a historic moment for the club who become the first rugby league club in the North East to launch a Tots programme.

Seen as the final part of the jigsaw when it comes to engaging local children, it will provide multi-sport activities for two to six year olds in a safe, friendly setting that encourages development and social interaction.

Any players who become too old for Rocket Tots will then be able to join the club’s U8s team and continue their journey with the Rockets all the way up to adults.

“We have created Rocket Tots to fulfil the demand for a high quality, affordable and fun activity for Tots” said Rockets Community manager, Steven Beaty.

“We have trialled similar activities with the local schools we work with and they have been really well received so we are thrilled to be replicating that success on a Saturday morning.

In new lead coach, Chris Ure, we have someone with excellent coaching skills who relates really well to the kids and parents while also understanding what the Rockets are all about.

We cannot wait to get started and welcoming even more people into the Rockets Family.”

Sessions are held at Cramlington Learning Village on Saturday mornings with two sessions running between 9-11am depending on ages.

The first six-week block starts this Saturday 16th April, with the second six-week block starting in May.

For more information or to book your place, contact Steve Beaty on rocketscommunity@gmail.com or call 07984630083.
