Cramlington Rockets players have been invited to join Alnwick Bears as mascots this Saturday.

Saturday 16th February is Super Saturday, a huge double header at Kingston Park stadium featuring some of the most exciting teams in UK rugby league.

Famed trans-Atlantic club Toronto Wolfpack are playing one of their ‘home’ Championship games at Kingston Park stadium as they take on Widnes Vikings, the black and white-wearing team that dropped down from Super League this season (17:00 kick off).

Before that, home side Newcastle Thunder open their League 1 campaign against Doncaster (14:30 kick Off). With both sides expected to be at the business end of the table this year, it promises to be an appetising battle.

Thunder in particularly have recruited well, with ex-Ireland skipper, Liam Finn and new Samoan international Misi Taulapapa joining ex-League 1 young player of the year, Lewis Young and Northumberland’s Alex Donaghy and David Weetman in the squad.

Registered players of Cramlington Rockets can get close to the action as mascots, joining with Alnwick Bears. We have 17 mascots spots available, first come first served to walk out with Toronto Wolfpack. Players will need a match ticket and to be accompanied to the match by a responsible adult. If you have a season ticket or match ticket already, email info@alnwickbears.co.uk to book a place.

Interest is expected to be high with the West Stand been opened in addition to the usual East Stand and club members can access discounted group tickets.

Match prices for community clubs is £15 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 for U16s, saving £5 on each category.
