No training on Saturday so players in years 6-7 can attend.

Newcastle Thunder’s 2018 Player Development Programme starts this Saturday 10th February at Kingston Park Stadium.

Following on from last year’s successful programme and having recently been accredited as Outstanding through the England Talent Pathway the programme is ready to go.

The Programme is based on the core principles of the Pathway and aims to assist the development of: Coachability, Mental Attributes, Game and Movement Skills and is completely Open Access.

U12s is open to School Years 6-7 & U14s for School Years 8-9.

It promises to be an exciting day and big numbers are expected so some information to make things easier on Saturday is as follows:

Start Time – Under 12s are to arrive from 9am with things getting under way at 9:30am. Under 14s will arrive from 10am to start at 10:30am.

Parking & Registration – Parking will be available in the East Stand car park. Entry to the stadium will be via East Stand and Registration will take place in the Tap & Tackle.

Parent Workshop – There will be a Parent Workshop in the 1877 Bar for U12 Parents at 9:30-10:15 and for U14s Parents at 10:30-11:15. This will cover the Principles of the England Rugby League Talent Pathway and the aims and vision of Newcastle Thunder Academy.

Training – Parents are welcome to Spectators to watch the training session from the East side of the ground. Seating and standing areas are available and refreshments will be available in the Tap & Tackle.

Players are required to bring suitable clothing/footwear for outdoor training (including boots) plus any protective equipment they need & water.
