Originally scheduled to be a three game series starting on November 3rd, the 2017 Origin series will now be a one game thriller, taking place on Friday December 1st.

The change has been made in order to allow players from clubs around the regions more time to prepare and to fit in with their schedules.

Thunder co-captains Joe Brown and Rhys Clarke will be at the reins of the North and South Tyne sides respectively and with whom interested players should get in contact about playing in this year’s series.

There will now be two training session before the game on December 1st, allowing both squads with the opportunity to gel before the game.
