Lots of trophies and trips still to come.

With the main junior league season having reached the Grand Final stage, do not be fooled into thinking that is it for the season. There is still plenty of rugby league to be played in the next few months.

9s Series

There are more trophies to be won. The U12s, U14s and U16s will be taking part in a competitive 9s series through September with the final round to be held at Kingston Park stadium on 17th September.

The annual Gateshead Storm 9s will also take place on August 6th at Winlaton.

Friendlies and festivals

The U8s and U10s will have a number of friendlies and festivals over the coming months while the older age groups are looking to play some matches against opposition from outside the region

North East Origins and Embed the Pathway

With three teams of the region’s U15/16s chosen to represent the North of Tyne, South of Tyne and County Durham, a series of fixtures will be held to decide which part of the region is the best. This is open to all players.

The regular Embed the Pathway events will continue to be held on Saturday mornings. Ask your coaches for details.

Rockets Camps

Our regular Rockets Camps will be held on the week commencing 25th July at Cramlington and Alnwick with multi-sport, junior and senior rugby camps.

They return in August, on the 22nd in Alnwick and 30th in Cramlington. Visit cramlingtonrockets.co.uk for details.

NE Men’s Premier Division

The Men’s league has reached the Super 5s stage and the Rockets’ 1st XIII is vying for a top two spot and a place in the Grand Final on Friday 19th August. Fixtures are being played every week in the lead up.

Charity Day – Christopher Wallace Cup

Our annual Charity Day will be held on 24th September. All players from the whole club will be in action in a series of intra-club matches to raise money in memory of original Rocket, Christopher Wallace

Rockets on Tour

We will be running buses to the Super league Grand Final on the 8th October, England vs New Zealand on 29th October and the Four Nations Final on 20th November. Tickets will be very cheap with more details to follow.

End of season events

The End of Season Awards will be held in mid-late October and the end of season parties not long after. Ideas are welcome but typically bowling or paintballing are popular

Winter break

The club will go into its winter break from mid-November to return for 2017 pre-season in late January and we can do it all again!
