The Sideline is a weekly show dedicated to the local sport scene, bringing the unsung heroes of the community game into the studio to reveal all about the exciting work taking place on your doorstep.

Professional sport stars will also feature, meaning all parts of the North East world of sports will feature on this two hour show every Sunday on Koast Radio.

The hosts will be Cramlington Rockets’ Community Manger, Steve Beaty and ex-Rocket turned football coach, Luke Skelton who will play the latest hits mixed with interviews and discussions from 4-6pm every Sunday.

Keen enthusiasts and well-known amongst grassroots circles, Steve and Luke are keen to hear from those involved in community sport at all levels and are always looking for new guests with interesting stories.

"This show is geared towards giving that unsung hero a voice” said Steve Beaty.

“We all know someone who makes our sport a better place, whether that's an U7s football coach who always stays late to help the kids or a team manager who goes that extra mile to make everyone included.

Whoever it is, whatever sport they we want to hear about them.”
