Four of Cramlington Rockets’ junior sides have made it to this weekend’s five Grand Finals.

The North East’s largest club has continued its domination of the junior scene of recent years and has its U12s, U14s Black, U14s Orange and U16s ‘A’ all in action at Kingston Park this Friday and Saturday.

The first game over two days of action is the U16s Championship Final that sees Rockets ‘A’ take on Wallsend Eagles at 6pm on Friday night before Catterick Crusaders take on Peterlee Pumas in the U16s Shield at 8pm after the Rockets’ U16s ‘B’ missed out on a final spot.

The early kick off on Saturday sees Rockets Orange take on Gateshead Storm at 9:45am in the U14s Shield, followed by Rockets Black against Catterick Crusaders in the U14s Championship at 11:15am.

Having gone unbeaten so far this season, the U12s then take on Catterick Crusaders in the Cup Final at 12:45pm after beating Whitley Bay Barbarians 38-0 in the semi-final.

With several Rockets also set to feature for the Newcastle Thunder Academy against Huddersfield Giants at 2:30pm straight after the last match, it promises to be an action packed day for North East Rugby League.

“This is what we love” said Cramlington Rockets Chairman, Jeff Ball. “Everyone has worked hard all season and our philosophy of investing our time and effort in our members has once again paid off.”

“There are no easy games so a big crowd will once again be crucial.

There were hundreds of Rockets from across the age groups at the U16s Cup Final earlier this year and a similar turnout across both days turning Kingston Park orange and black could make the difference for all our sides.”

Entry on both days is through the Tap & Tackle bar in the East Stand and costs £1 with a programme included.
