Team news for Saturday's trip to Wallsend.

Cramlington Rockets Head Coach Dave Townend has named a 20-man squad for the top of the table clash with Wallsend Eagles on Saturday.

Arguably the toughest challenge so far this season for the young Rockets side, Wallsend are the only other unbeaten side in the North East Premier Division

Veteran Rocket, Liam Hawthorn comes into the wing to make a threatening back three opposite Ross Glasper with Joe Morris at full back.

A new centre combination sees ever-present Joey Bell partnered with Kieran Bruce who makes his second appearance of the season following a winter with the Newcastle Thunder Academy.

England Colleges Lionheart Fraser Boldy returns to the halves alongside another England Lionheart, Matty Gordon.

The return of Boldy sees Jack Redfern shift to hooker where he will be keen to add to his impressive 36-point haul with the boot in the last two games.

Injury to Carl Hill creates an opportunity for Patrick Douglas to come in at prop alongside the hard carrying, Alex Dodds.

Aiden Orritt continues at second row and is joined by Sam Long with Connor Lye lining up at loose forward.

The bench sees Rockets veteran, Thomas Callighan return to the squad alongside the experienced Steven Bincliffe.

Newer faces, Daniel Pattison and Ben Stewart remain ready to show what they can do while Stewart Walker will be looking to add more tries to his tally this season if given a chance from the bench.

The hard carrying Jamie Dowd and Mark Barry complete the bench.

Player meet at Benfield Sports Centre, Benfield Road, NE6 4NU Newcastle upon Tyne, at 1pm on saturday and kick off is at 2:30pm.
