Rockets ‘A’ take on Jarrow Vikings at Kingston Park this Friday.

The first chance of silverware this season takes place on Friday evening as Cramlington Rockets take on Jarrow in the U16s Cup Final.

With both teams unbeaten in the league, a fascinating match is in store.

The Rockets have enjoyed an unprecedented run of success stretching back three years, their only loss against North East opposition coming, typically, against Jarrow in last year’s Cup Final.

Taking place at the same venue, Kingston Park Stadium, the Rockets have already enjoyed success here already having beaten Wallsend Eagles in the semi-final.

With a big following of the Rockets family expected, the match, which kicks off at 7pm promises to be highly entertaining.

“We know that Jarrow are a very good side who will be very dangerous” said Coach, Danny Gilroy.

“Training over the last week has definitely stepped up a gear and we are starting to find our rhythm.”

“We suffered some nasty injuries in the last round of league fixtures so we are a bit thinner on the ground than we were expecting but those players that are available are still very good.”

“That said, a lot of the squad have the experience of winning trophies wearing the orange and black and with a good crowd cheering them on, I know they can do the job.”

Kick off is at 7pm at Kingston Park Stadium. Entry is free through the Tap & Tackle bar in the East Stand.
