Chris Ure to lead sessions for 2-6 year olds.

Cramlington Rockets are pleased to announce that 1st Team player, Chris Ure has been appointed lead coach for the club’s Rocket Tots programme.

The latest innovation from Rockets Community, the club’s community-based arm, it now means that children as young as two can now benefit from the fun activities the Rockets offer.

With two classes running on Saturday morning for two to six year olds, Rocket Tots is a multi-sports programme that starts at Cramlington Learning Village on Saturday 16th April.

The aim of the sessions is to encourage social skills, increase physical development and confidence and, most importantly, have loads of fun!

Ure, who also works with the club’s U16s and assists at Rocket Camps was excited to get started.

“I cannot wait to get started” said Ure. “At this age, we are all about having a great time. There will be plenty of games and chances to run around, which is exactly what kids want to do.”

We focus on really fundamental movement skills to get kids developing and into the idea that sport as an activity can be fun.

The kids we see on Saturday could be playing in the Rockets first team in twenty years and it is great that we can start them on their journey with the Rockets from such a young age now.”

Sessions take place on Saturdays with only 15 spaces available for each session. To book your place call Community Manger, Steve Beaty now on 07984630083 or email rocketscommunity@gmail.com.
