Scotland to take Ireland at Kingston Park Stadium.

This Sunday sees Scotland U16s take on Ireland U16s with the tartan blues seeking revenge for an eight point loss in Dublin three weeks ago.

It's an exciting match up that has a distinctively Rockets theme throughout.

Recongised for the success in Cramlington in recent years, the coaching team features the Rockets' Jordan Robinson and Steven Beaty alongside former coach, Mark Hennessey.

On the field too, the squad includes Spike Birkett, Benji Kinloch and Matthew Ferguson, who have all featured for Scotland age groups.

"We're really proud to see so many faces involved in an international setting" said Chairman, Jeff Ball.

"All of them have worked hard to get here, impressing in the North East set up and grasped their opportunities.

The introduction of the Scottish sides into the North East competition has improved standards and it's only going to strengthen the game in both sides of the border."

Kick off is at 12:30pm on Sunday 15th September before Newcastle Thunder's crunch play-off match against Doncaster at 2:30pm. Tickets available on the door.
