Newcastle Thunder are looking for an enthusiastic youngster aged between 12 – 16 years old to take part in the Junior Takeover Round initiative lead by the RFL, as Newcastle Thunder take on London Skolars.

Giving them a chance to understand the demands and enjoyment from media in sport, the opportunity is one that is considered to be rare in professional sport.

Taking place at Kingston Park, one lucky participant will be given backstage access when North East’s only professional rugby league team head into an exciting round of Betfred League One action on Sunday 20th July.

While developing their understanding of the media demands on a matchday, a number of media-related tasks will also be presented, with the aim to develop their skills and hopefully give them a taste of professional work in sport.

Applicants for this role must be:

Within the 12 – 16 year old bracket
Available on the 20th July between 12pm – 6pm.
Have an interest in media / sport
