No spectators allowed now.

No spectators at training

The new guidance on restrictions issued this week states that you should not spectate at any sporting events. While this typically means matches, we are choosing to treat training sessions as sporting events. Therefore, we are asking all parents and guardians to NOT stay and watch the training session** from within the training area.

Key points

  • No spectators allowed
  • Parents and carers can ensure their child arrives safely and is correctly registered before leaving.
  • At the end of the session, Team Managers will walk players over to the collection point (pathway next to car park). Please do not come to the training areas.
  • Parents and carers are asked to wait in their cars or remain nearby, but not in the training area (see below) and without congregating and socialising.
  • The grass areas where we train, and the adjacent pathways will be considered the training area and must be avoided. We will not be managing the wider Sporting Club site and ask everyone to be responsible for their activities while they wait. Please note the café and centre remains closed.
  • If you leave the Sporting Club, please ensure a club official has your contact details if different to those given for Track & Trace via the Player Declaration.
  • If there is an issue with your child, we will either call you or bring the child to your car.
  • COVID Marshalls are on hand and happy to answer any questions during drop off and collection

“The priority for us is the safety of everyone” said COVID Officer, Jeff Ball. “Because we have strict procedures in place, that is why we can continue. It is essential we stick to them more than ever given the spike in cases locally.”

“The biggest change here is to our parents and guardians. We normally encourage them to socialise at training. Unfortunately, that cannot happen anymore, but it is important we remember it is to ensure the players can continue to enjoy themselves on Saturday mornings. The players will be well looked after from drop off to collection.”

We ask all members to be responsible in their actions. The police, council officials and RFL representatives can come and observe our sessions at any time and if we are found to be in breach of the guidelines then the club can be punished and sessions could be forced to cease.

As part of our weekly review, we would like to share these amendments to procedures:

New Exit Points

Players and spectators are asked to enter and exit at the following points:

- U6, U8s, U10s to exit by Minis entry point (where registration takes place)
- U12s to continue to use car park gate by JLV
- U14s and U16s to exit by Juniors entry point (where registration takes place)

Please avoid socialising and congregation at these points. Players will be escorted back to the collection point (the car park).

Changes to Car Parking

With the junior car park (the overflow) inaccessible, we ask all players and spectators to only park in the main car park and not the drop off bay. This is to be used by coaches to ensure all attendees are registered upon arrival and help the coaches to transport the session’s equipment efficiently.

For more information, contact COVID Officer, Jeff Ball on 07809114905 or info@cramlingtonrockets.co.uk.

** Exceptions will be made if a child is considered vulnerable through age or disability with a maximum of one parent/carer per child as a spectator. Parents and carers will be asked to remain distanced from other participants and not socialise with others. If you feel you must stay through the session, ideally let us know beforehand via info@cramlingtonrockets.co.uk, or speak to a COVID Marshall upon arrival.
