
Need something fun for the kids to do this half term? Look no further than the Thunder Community Foundation's rugby camps.
Operating all week across the region, the camps on Thursday and Friday the 3rd & 4th June at Wallsend FC, the home of Wallsend Centurions, are the nearest for our club members. It is £25 per day or £40 for both days.
Each camp runs every day from 10am to 3pm and includes a range of rugby skills, activities and games for the budding player - all within the RFL's guidelines.
The camps are open to ages 6-16 and we welcome all abilities to participate on the camps.
Each camp participate receives five hours of coaching from the Thunder Community team delivering a variety of Rugby league games and skills, who all hold enhanced DBS's along with the a minimum Level 2 RFL coaching award.
Along with the rugby, each participant will receive a Newcastle Thunder coaching camp t-shirt, and £5 credit which can be used within the club shop, ticket office and at selected food and drink outlets throughout Kingston Park stadium, or can be saved up to purchase a Newcastle Thunder replica shirt or an other item out of the shop.
All attendees need to bring a packed lunch, water-bottle, weather appropriate rugby clothing and, if sunny, sun tan lotion. This should include trainers as well boots, shorts and tracksuit bottoms, warm tops, mouth guard, waterproof top, warm hat and sun cream. Full Kit list will be provided with confirmation (Some of this list may be subject to weather).
There will be a number of COVID procedures in place on the day such as temperature check on arrival, continuous sanitising of equipment, staggered lunches and social distancing.
