Wanting to finish strong

After a fantastic season which has seen the u12s grow in strength and numbers we reach the climax of the season.

Once again the U12s go to the finals at Gateshead with a strong team selected to face Durham Tigers at 10am.

Durham finished above the Rockets in the regular season with a similar record but a more ruthless attacking side meaning it promises to be a high scoring battle between the 2 strongest teams in the league.

With most players available, a strong squad has been selected.

"It has been one of the hardest squad selections we have had to make, getting the team balance right to allow us to compete against Durham has meant some very difficult decisions. But we needed a strong bench to allow us to keep the playing 13 fresh at all times" said Coach Richard Robinson.

The game marks the start of an exciting couple of days with the team lined up to play at newcastle falcons on Saturday when all players available will be able to playin front of a large crowd.

Looking forward to the final, with a head to head record of one win each there is little to choose between the two teams, we will need to play hard and work harder to beat a well drilled Durham team.

Undoubtedly a large vocal rockets support will help us finish the season in style.
