Rockets travel to League Heartland

On Saturday the u12s are rising with the larks to travel to Yorkshire to take on Birstall Victoria. Having completed a successful league campaign, we were keen to test ourselves against more established clubs and Birstall Victoria were keen for a friendly fixture.
Such trips are likely to become more regular as we look to establish a strong fixture list. "With only a few clubs locally we need to seek opportunities to test ourselves further afield"said Richard Robinson, one of the teams coaches. "We have contacted a few clubs and are hopeful that we will be able to arrange a number of games both home and away next season to help develop the players and the Team" Despite the season drawing to a close, union clubs in full swing and school holidays starting we are able to travel with a strong squad of 21 players with a couple of players making their Rockets Debuts, welcome to the rockets family.
It promises to be a really good trip with a full coach heading down the A1, assuming we can escape the Seaton Burn Junction Roadworks
